F.A.Q.

How can Millennium Chess improve my classic chess skills?
Millennium Chess is the only chess based game patented in the United States and Canada that can improve your classic chess game by simply playing.  Every time you play you are perceiving, anticipating, and calculating the numerous strategic battles that each new game represents.

Does it matter how the board is set up?
Yes!  White pieces must be set up on Black corners and Black pieces set up on the White corners.

When pawns advance to the opposing back row, can I reclaim a lost king?
No.  You may not reclaim lost Kings.  Also, pawns do not automatically become Queens.  You may only reclaim pieces that have been captured.

Can both kings be placed in check simultaneously?
No. A King can only be placed in check when it is your only remaining King on the board.  If two of your Kings are remaining, neither can be placed in check.

No. Check” can only occur when you have one King left on the board.  As soon as one King is removed from play the game is then governed by universal chess rules.  Under chess rules you cannot castle out of “check”.

Can you castle past the center rook?
No!  The center rook can be used to “Castle” but it cannot be “passed” when castling.

Can you Castle end to end?
No. You cannot Castle to far end Rook. The center Rook can be used to castle. As in Classic Chess, if a King or Rook is moved, then no castling is possible.

How can I win?
After the Keystone King is captured and removed then, traditional Kings Rules come back into play and the game is won when the second King is checked and/or checkmated!
